The attention of the esports world has been focused on the situation involving Fortnite Battle Royale star Turner "Tfue" Tenney and his lawsuit against the esports organization of FaZe Clan that he had been signed to for some time. Since the news of his lawsuit against FaZe Clan, where Tfue claimed his current contract is "oppressive" and made various other allegations against the organization, was brought to light, Tfue had not yet addressed the situation publicly. However, this silence was broken on Wednesday, May 23rd when the high-profile Twitch and YouTube personality posted the message of release the contract on his Twitter account and in addition to a YouTube video where he explained the current situation from his point of view.

Release The Contract FaZe Tfue
Tfue started his release the contract video by stating that he requested his lawyer to take out the allegations from the lawsuit that stated FaZe Clan pressured Tfue to illegally gamble, drink alcohol underage and perform dangerous stunts.
The release the contract video then saw the popular Fortnite player explain that his reasoning behind his suing of FaZe Clan was to serve justice to the esports community and industry by revealing the kinds of predatory contracts that are taking advantage of players.
Finally, the Twitch streamer ended his public address of the lawsuit situation by asking FaZe Clan to officially release the document in order to allow the entire esports industry to see what it actually entails.
This release the contract video by Tfue prompted a response by one of FaZe's owners in Ricky "Banks" Banks who took to his Twitter account in order to provide a response to the release the contract video by FaZe Tfue in a series of tweets.
Turner, we offered you $1 MILLION per year, with 0% splits across the board. The only deliverable on your side was to represent FaZe Clan. To act like we didn’t try to fix your situation multiple times is manipulative. @TTfue Like I said for us this was never about money.

And with that new contract anything agreed to in the previous one would be nullified. We offered so many different solutions, all of them taking NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING from Turner. Tfue blew up and forgot where he came from. Classic clout shit.

By the way we ARE indeed releasing the contract. Just got off the phone with the hirer ups and we're preparing it for you guys now. I have nothing to hide and everything I've said throughout all of this is the truth. We tried for a straight year to come to a new agreement.

I appreciate you apologizing (kind of) about the alcohol/ stunt claims. This was all a huge mistake and we both know that, I could see it in your eyes.. you didn't mean for this to go down how it did. Let's meet up while you're still in LA and try and solve this. @TTfue

So yea I'll say it again. We ARE releasing the contract momentarily. This wasn't about standing up for what's right, it's manipulative to suggest that. This was about what Tfue's dad believed was in his best interest (leaving FaZe) and stopping at nothing to accomplish it.

I really shouldn't be on Twitter right now. I'm getting hot and fired up all over again. It's just more strategy, more lawyers talking through Tfue, script reading, garbage. Why the fuck can't you just round up your army of lawyers and sit and talk to me? @TTfue
— FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 23, 2019
Last tweet. Our legal team is preparing everything, we will release the contract with all the context in the world when we can. Again all @TTfue you had to do to accomplish that was ask me. We weren't prepared for this so just give us some time. It's coming. Thanks.
