The other half of this weekend's stunning fighting game tournaments, Combo Breaker 2019 brought a whole lot of heat led by NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat 11.

This weekend has been an absolute dream for the Fighting Game Community (FGC) because there are two high-profile tournaments happening at the same time.

Live from St. Charles, Illinois, at the Pheasant Run Resort, some of the world’s greatest players gathered for Combo Breaker 2019. The big draws for Combo Breaker 2019 are the headlining Mortal Kombat 11 tournament -- the first Major competition for the latest title in the Netherrealm Studios franchise -- and the premier Street Fighter V Pro Tour competition.

Here are all the winners from Combo Breaker 2019

Splitting up some of the premier fighting game crowd between Combo Breaker and MomoCon this weekend didn't seem to maky anything less hype, or less crowded. The Tekken top 8 was absolutely bonkers, while hosting Mortal Kombat 11's first s-tier tournament and propping it up as the headlining event really paid off for CB2019. They even reached maximum capacity for the first time ever, making it the most attended Combo Breaker in history.

Congratulations to all of the participants at Combo Breaker 2019, and a special shoutout to Scar for putting on an absolutely wondrous performance in the entire Mortal Kombat bracket.

Next up for the FGC is the CEO Fighting Game Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida, that will take place at the end of June.
