Nintendo is once again bringing Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Splatoon 2 to E3 2019 in pure competitive form with World Championships in each game. Here's how to catch the action.

At E3 2018, one of the main attractions among the esports events was the Splatoon 2 World Championships and Super Smash Bros Ultimate Invitational. Nintendo is bringing these two games back to E3 2019 for a new set of World Championship events, and with Smash Bros Ultimate having released and players having time to learn it now, the action promises to be even greater than the year previous. Even greater, a Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational is joining the events. We have the details on where to check it all out.

The E3 Smash Bros Ultimate and Splatoon 2 World Championships were announced back in March 2019 via Nintendo’s competitive gaming social channel. The Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational joined the line-up for E3 2019 on May 22. All of the action will take place in LA at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel, just ahead of E3 on June 8. It is unknown at this time which of the three will kick things off, but during Nintendo's E3 2018’s events, Splatoon 2 opened while the Super Smash Bros Invitational finished. As their new major title for 2019, Nintendo may have Super Mario Maker 2 open or close things out this time. You’ll likely be able to catch all of the action on Nintendo’s YouTube channel or via the Twitch video below at the June 8, 11AM PST starting time.

With Super Smash Bros Ultimate having launched and players having plenty of time to figure out where they fit into its giant roster, there is no doubt that the World Championship will have a lot to show us. Both Smash Ultimate and Splatoon 2 will feature qualifying players and teams from regions around the world, including Japan, Europe, North American, and Australian/New Zealand. If you’re a fan of either game, it’s definitely one show you won’t want to miss, if not for the competition, then for the announcements that may happen before or after the World Championship competitions. For further details, check out Nintendo’s E3 2019 page.

That’s not the only esports coming to E3 2019. Be sure to check out the 2019 Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am and all of the players confirmed so far as well!
