Surprisingly, the FACEIT Apex Legends Pro Series will consist of some of the biggest Esports teams on Earth, and it begins in just a few days.

The world has been waiting for a true competitive scene to be built around the fast-paced and hugely adored Apex Legends. Finally, FACEIT has stepped forward, and the Apex Legends Pro Series begins way sooner than you think.

Apex Legends hit the market back at the beginning of February of this year, and it quickly became one of the biggest and most played games ever made. In a time of smaller numbers but bigger successes, Apex Legends broke through the typical FPS Battle Royale genre unlike any others had in the past.

The game has seen a few large-scale tournaments in its very short life, from both Twitch Rivals and Code Red, but there’s finally a true pro series.

Right now, the FACEIT Apex Pro Series website is horribly blank. No rules just yet, and the participants (or “members”) list is just a long list of random names to pluck familiar faces from.

Luckily, they posted a wicked Twitter thread announcing all of the teams that will be participating in the Pro Series.

TEAMS

100 Thieves

Counter-Logic Gaming

G2 Esports

Cloud 9

Complexity

Team Dignitas

Fnatic

Gen.G

Misfits Gaming

NRG Esports

T1 (SK Telecom T1)

TSM

FACEIT also announced that two teams will be placed in the Pro Series pending the completion of a 22 team qualifier tournament, where the 20 non-qualifiers will make up the contenders league moving forward.

When Does it Start?

The 14-team FACEIT Apex Legends Pro Series will begin almost immediately, kicking on on Friday, May 31st.

You can catch it all on the FACEIT Twitch channel.

We’re excited to see what kind of program and schedule FACEIT will reveal for the league’s structure heading into the future of competitive Apex Legends. For now, however, all we know is the majority of who will be playing, and when it will all kick-off.
