You can have all the skill, dexterity, and awareness in the world when it comes to any given shooting game, but sometimes none of it matters in comparison to timing and luck. Take Mike "shroud" Grzesiek for instance. Shroud is a retired veteran of Cloud9's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports roster. Nowadays he streams regularly on behalf of the organization on Twitch. Recently he found himself in Fortnite's Battle Royale mode and has taken to it fairly well. That said, one of his matches had him get the drop on a gunfight happening below him and, while shroud is most certainly skilled, skill could barely account for the entirety of what happened next.

As shroud lands on the map, he instantly begins to scavange and pull supplies from the villa he's crashed in upon. As shroud is hunting for supplies, he takes note of nearby gun fire and from the balcony above it, jumps to get the drop on whoever is below. What he doesn't know about is the golden opportunity that falls right into his lap when he hits the ground. As he draws his shotgun, coming up on the back end of one enemy, another enemy crosses into shroud's fire. With one trigger pull, his shotgun rips through both combatants and takes them both out of the equation entirely at once.

You can see the look of shock on his face as he stares to the camera and then to the screen again in a double-take, still wrapping his head around the situation. And then he blurts out what we've all seen, "I just got a two-for-one!" It goes to show that often Fortnite Battle Royale's progression can take sudden and unexpected turns - sometimes for the horribly worse, but other times for the gloriously better, such as in shroud's lucky case.
