We also finally found out when the next gigantic adventure from the creators of the Witcher is going to land on store shelves.

Everything was playing out as expected during the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing. The entire stadium and crowd online was mighty pleased with all of the new Cyberpunk 2077 footage that was being shown in the new CG-based trailer.

We finally got a better look at the male lead in the upcoming cyberpunk first-person action RPG from the makers of the Witcher series. However, it was just more of the same stuff we’ve all been clamoring for. That was until the very end of the trailer when Keanu Reeves showed up.

In what has to be the best-kept secret for Cyberpunk 2077, and the most perfectly timed cameo (with all of the buzz online regarding Reeve’s recent cameo in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe) in all of gaming, Keanu Reeves took to the stage after his reveal.

During his time on stage, Reeves mentioned that CD Projekt Red reached out to him for a part in the game, which means this is a real cameo and not just a marketing stunt. How Reeve’s character will interact with your single-player storyline is completely unknown, as is who his character actually is.

At the end of his time on-stage at the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing, Reeves finally gave the fans what they’ve been truly looking for, by revealing the release date for Cyberpunk 2077.

Coming next April, the next adventure from CD Projekt Red will arrive on console and PC.
