The Borderlands 2 Update 1.06 patch notes are paving the way for the 2019 Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC for the popular title.

It is not every day when a game that has been out for multiple years gets a major DLC implemented for it. However, Sunday, June 9th saw the brand new Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary Borderlands 2 DLC officially revealed at E3 2019 and become available for players to download. This new Borderlands DLC bridges the gap of the franchise's story between the second entry and the upcoming third entry that will be releasing later this year.
