The Ubisoft E3 2019 Conference was just about to kick-off and while they were showing off some neat additions to their popular franchise. Things like the new story creator mode coming to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and a free-use spectator camera mode coming to For Honor. However, the best of them all was a cheeky little pre-recorded video that saw famous New Jersey rapper Ice-T talk about how to deal with trolls and griefers online.
Throughout the whole video, Ice-T went over a few different ways to calmly stick to your own game and be the best teammate you can, rather than getting sucked into a battle of words over voice communication. It was the last point, however, which greatly expressed what to do if you hear a voice over comms that isn’t like your own.
“Show some motherf******* respect,” said Ice-T. “Cause I’m sick of hearing all that sexist, racist, homophobic bullshit from a few punkass motherf***ing dumbf***s out there trying to ruin this s**t for the rest of us!”
Even though it was delivered in a hilarious manner, the message is crucial. In a day where toxicity and ugliness hide behind the anonymity of online interactions and social media platforms, the joking but firm delivery of an important message to be respectful is key.
You heard if from Ice-T himself.
