During the premier open-bracket finals on championship Sunday during CWL Anaheim, the league announced the location of the 2019 season ending major.

It’s been a crazy busy week in Anaheim, as the best Call of Duty World League players do battle on the main-stage for the glory of a major win, prize pool money, and of course the ever-important league points.

While the fans and the viewers online continued to enjoy the high-tier competition of Championship Sunday, the Call of Duty World League played the sizzle reel announcement revealing that this year’s Champs event will be heading back to Los Angeles, California.

For the first time since the Championship event in 2016, the Call of Duty World League will crown their 2019 champion in the state of California. Back in 2016, it was Team EnVyUs that took home the trophy from Irvine. This year, the biggest event in Call of Duty will be held in the City of Angels.

The Call of Duty World League Championship will include the 16 CWL teams currently playing, as well as a 16 team open-bracket tournament. So far, only the dates and location are known. Expect Activision and CWL to announce prize-pool information alongside ticket availability.

Tickets are still listed as “coming soon” right now, and the CWL 2019 Champs website says that discounted event hotel rates will be available starting July 21st.

The 2019 Call of Duty World League Championship will be held at the Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California, from August 16th until August 18th.
