After a few struggling performances in 2019, the 100 Thieves Call of Duty team become back-to-back major champions.

It’s been a wild ride watching all of the intense action unfold live from Anaheim, California this weekend, and it’s finally over. In a crucially anticipated Grand Finals, it was 100 Thieves winning their second CWL Title in a row as they defeated the surging Gen.G to a tune of 3 games to 1.

Everything leading up to the finals through the Losers Bracket was crazy exciting, and this was amplified by a million come championship Sunday when Gen.G (on a roll) met up with expected finalists in OpTic Gaming.

After some absolutely stellar play, showing dominance on defensive stands, Gen.G was able to eliminate one of the inarguable best teams in the entire tournament. OpTics recent major performances have been fairly executed, but Sundays seem to be their kryptonite lately.

The Winners Bracket, on the other hand, was pretty much all 100 Thieves all the time. Something about this team clicked when 100 Thieves crushed CWL London, and it has got to feel good to know that whatever the juice earned there was, it hasn’t worn off.

In their Grand Finals win, 100 Thieves looked a tier above 2nd Place Gen.G, hardly letting up on the gas pedal for even a brief moment.

During the awards ceremony, the Call of Duty World League awarded 100 Thieves’ Slasher with the Anaheim MVP title.

Next up for the Call of Duty World League Majors is the CWL Finals tournament in Miami Beach from July 19th to 21st.
