On the heels of E3 2019, the good folks at Capcom are giving PlayStation players an early look at the huge mountain of new content coming to Monster Hunter: World with the Iceborne expansion.

Today marks the first day of the premier Monster Hunter: World expansions Beta and here we’ll go over all of the things you need to know about how to get in, and how to download it.

Iceborne is the next huge expansion for one of the best selling current generation games ever; Monster Hunter: World. This latest in the Monster Hunter franchise was a huge return to form, a beloved franchise coming back to mainline consoles, and also a big drop on the Xbox One. All of the right moves made translated into millions upon millions of copies being sold. It even became one of the best selling video games of 2018.

We’re still more than 2 months away from the official launch day of Monster Hunter: World Iceborne, but some lucky folks are able to try out the new area, fight new monsters, and practice some new techniques thanks to a rather exclusive Beta period.

How to Get The Iceborne Beta

Unfortunately for all of those Xbox and PC fans that have beel playing Monster Hunter: World for a year and a half, the Iceborne expansion beta is exclusive to the PlayStation platform. More so, one of the two scheduled betas (the one that runs this weekend) is exclusive to PS Plus members.

If you are a PS Plus member, head over to the PlayStation store, search for “Iceborne” and you should see the exclusive icon on a title card. You should be able to add the beta download to your queue right from there, or you can use your browser and download the Iceborne Beta on the shop page

For those of you that are NOT PS Plus members, you will have to wait another week to get your chance to play the Monster Hunter: Iceborne Beta.
