The most prestigious award in the Overwatch League will be awarded in a few short months. Find out how you can help your favorite player take home the 2019 OWL MVP trophy (and potentially get a custom skin).

With Season Two of the Overwatch League nearing its end, it’s time to begin considering who should be named MVP for the 2019 games. Will it be a support player? A main tank? Perhaps even a DPS player!? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, you—the public—will able to help choose who wins the prestigious award.

The first round of selections will fall to the Overwatch League General Managers. They will be in charge of filling out ballots, narrowing the pool from nearly 200 players to a very competitive five. The decision of the committee of General Managers will be revealed by Blizzard on July 25th; the first day of the final stage for Season Two.

At that point, the public will be able to log in on either Twitter or Twitch to vote on who they feel should be named the 2019 Overwatch League MVP. Voting on Twitter will be as simple as using the hashtag #OWLMVP and the name or Twitter handle of the player. The process for voting on Twitch has yet to be revealed. In an ambitious move, Overwatch League will also be revealing the public’s voting results daily, giving fans a chance to tip the scales in hopes of seeing their favorite player win.

The power isn’t all in the public’s hands, however, as the popular vote will be considered alongside ballots from casters, analysts, coaches, and even Overwatch League press (does that mean my vote counts?!).

Finally, the OWL MVP will be revealed during the Season Playoffs, August 29th, at the Blizzard Arena. While this honor guarantees that the player will win the coveted Overwatch League MVP trophy (it’s glorious), we would assume that the player would also help develop a custom in-game skin; something awarded to last year’s MVP, Sung-hyeon "JJoNak" Bang.

Who do you think deserves to be in the top five for the MVP selection? What do you think their custom skin would look like? Let us know in the comments below!
