Operation Apocalypse Z begins tomorrow and that means that everywhere you look in Activision's Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be crawling with the risen dead and a few more surprises. 

The latest content expansion, and probably last in it's lifespan, expands on the ever-popular and ever-evolving Zombie Mode that first arrive many Call of Dutys ago. 

"Operation Apocalypse Z unleashes the hordes of undead in all game modes. Fans will find exciting new ways to play, including Multiplayer maps and modes that channel the Zombies legacy, a new Zombies experience, eerie changes throughout the Blackout map, and more new weapons for players to unlock and master."

Part of the trailer--and maybe the most intriguing addition in the whole thing-- is the line that says the "Blackout goes dark…" which could see the no-longer terribly popular Call of Duty Battle Royale mode have a resurgence in player logins. 

Since the launch last fall, all of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has seen a steep drop-off. While many would chalk it up to a pretty busy calendar year for gaming, the fallout of Black Ops 4 is far more due to unoriginal flavors. The Battle Royale mode saw great attention and adoration at launch, but rapidly lost the limelight due to stagnation. 

Now, coming awfully close to a year later, the team at Activision are continuing to try and respark or repair that adoration of their fans. 

Operation Apocalypse Z will be adding zombies, creepy crawlies, and the spooky vibes to almost every mode within Call of Duty Black Ops 4. This includes basic Multiplayer, Blackout, and of course the standard Zombies mode.
