In a short teaser on twitter, Riot Games and League of Legends teased the return of a popular skin-line and event.

Today, on the official League of Legends Twitter channel, a short video was posted teasing the next in-game event for the popular champion-based MOBA and it’s the return of Project.

The tweet simply reads “We can't control the monsters we create…” but what, or who, that pertains to is uncertain. Multiple champions on the League of Legends roster could be hinted at with that one line. Gnar, Pyke, Warwick, Urgot to name just a few.

According to the community, some of the information regarding new Project skins were leaked by streamer Elmillor via opening a private Discord channel while live-streaming on Twitch. His League partner program private chat with a Riot Kails seems to have picked out Jinx and Pyke to get the Project treatment.

The worst part of the leak is the message from Riot Kails following the mention of Pyke and Jinx that reads “a vosotros por respetar los embargos y mantener la confianza” which translates to English as “to you for respecting the embargoes and maintaining trust” … that’s a big ol’ yikes.

In previous instances of the League of Legends Project event, we got some pretty epic skins for champions like Master Yi, Leona, Lucian, and Ashe, while also bringing some less than stellar skins for champs like Yasuo, Jhin, and Fiora.

What will be coming along with the re-release of the line is still unknown, but with the recently launched Pyke champion potentially on the list, we sure are excited as to what a cyberpunk-style pirate will look like. Jinx, on the other hand, has had quite a bit of attention in the skin department, so perhaps that champion isn’t the most exciting choice.

As far as the actual start date this time around, we’re still unsure as to when the Project Event will launch in the League of Legends client, we would assume that it will be coming next week. More updates on this upcoming event as news breaks.
