Michael “ODEE” O’Dell is a person who knows how to get things done in esports. In 2003 he founded Dignitas, which is one of the more recognized organizations in esports today. ReKTGlobal and Rogue recognize that as well, which is why they’re bringing O’Dell on as Chief Gaming Officer to oversee various operations across the ReKTGlobal network.
The news was announced first by Rogue on their official website on July 16, 2019. As Chief Gaming Officer of ReKTGlobal, overseeing operations of its League of Legends franchise in Germany, as well as handling strategies and brand organization across the likes of Greenlit Content and Rogue. His entry into ReKTGlobal comes less than a year after leaving officially closing out his work at Dignitas, having served as the General Manager until July 3, 2019. O’Dell had sold the championship-winning organization to Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils owner Harris Blitzer in 2018. Even as he left, Dignitas continued to find success and grow, having just acquired the Clutch Gaming slot in LCS in April 2019.
