Rocket League has us feeling a little nostalgic with their Radical Summer event, bringing Knight Rider, WWE, and Voltron items to players.

Rocket League has been doing its Radical Summer event for… well… most of summer, but the latest offering of this season’s fun has ‘80s Television on the plate. We’re going back to the days of Macho Madness, David Hasselhoff, and classic anime with this latest theme which brings a nostalgic collection of new items to the game.

Announced on July 16, 2019 via the Rocket League website, the third phase of the Radical Summer event is Television. As such, a new DLC pack featuring ‘80s television show Knight Rider is coming to the field. Players will be able to get their hands on the Knight Rider Car Pack DLC for $1.99 starting on July 22, which includes the K.I.T.T. body, wheels, and topper. In addition to the Knight Rider set, further items will be available celebrating Macho Man Randy Savage, The Legendary Voltron and more.

In addition to the items on offer, Rocket League is getting a fresh new limited-time mode to cap off the Radical Summer event. Beach Ball mode is a 2-vs-2 skirmish in which players head to a sandy beach-inspired field. The ball is reskinned as a beach ball and has appropriately curvy and bouncy properties to keep you on your toes as you chase it down and go for the goal. You’ll also be able to continue to go into online matches to try to earn cassettes to redeem in the event store for items.

The ‘80s TV leg of the Radical Summer event will come to a close on August 12, 2019, after which there will be a small “Last Chance” redemption period for players to turn in their cassettes and get any Radical Summer items they missed. If you want to get in on some ‘80s TV goodness in your Rocket League game, be sure to jump in before the event ends.
