As PUBG gears up for its fourth season, it returns to where it all began. Erangel is getting a major overhaul alongside other additions like new outfits and co-op missions.

PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds has come a long way since it first launched in mid-2017, but it hasn’t forgotten where it came from. Season 4 of PUBG is about to begin, and with it comes a return to the original Erangel map with a huge new update, new players items, and fresh challenges, including co-op missions. Are you ready to re-explore where the battle royale craze truly took off? Season 4 of PUBG was announced on July 17, 2019 via the PUBG Website. Patch 4.1 is out on Test Servers with launch on Live Servers expected to take place on July 24. The largest change coming to the game is a complete overhaul of the original Erangel map. New buildings, reworked terrain and nature, and other changes to various landmarks in the map are expected to bring a refreshed experience to the iconic Erangel location.

In addition to the Erangel overhaul, a number of other changes and additions are coming to Season 4 of PUBG. Players will be able to get in on Survivor Pass 4: AFTERMATH, which will allow players to partake in unlocking over 100 new rewards, rewards. With or without the pass, a new cooperative mission system is coming which task players to team up on certain various goals to gain rewards more quickly. AFTERMATH will become active on July 23, 2019 for players to partake in the hunt for the latest season’s goodies.

Meanwhile, weapons, items, and loot drops have also been rebalanced to hopefully bring a more fair and enjoyable experience to the game. Matchmaking has also been tweaked to ensure players are set up against similar leveled opponents and allies.
