Gen.G has partnered with Bumble to strengthen its Fortnite roster and launch Gen.G Empowered by Bumble, Gen.G's first all-women esports team.

As the year has continued on, Gen.G has continued to be one of the organizations striving to better itself and its players. Between opening extensive facilities in Seoul and LA to support players and staff and boosting its presence in the likes of fresh games like Apex Legends, the organization has pursued an impressive amount of infrastructure on a global scale to help move its teams and players towards championships in their respective scenes. The latest move by Gen.G resulted in a partnership with Bumble, launching an all-women’s Fortnite team between the two orgs.

Announced on August 6, 2019 via Gen.G's social channels and website, Gen.G Empowered by Bumble (or “Team Bumble”) is composed of Fortnite players and influencers including Tina “Tinaraes” Perez, Madison “Maddie” Mann, Carlee Gress, Hannah Reyes, and Kristen “KittyPlays” Valnicek. Bumble, described as a women-first social networking app, will be an official partner of KittyPlays and women gamer and streamer network #TeamKitty, as well as helping develop content, co-hosted events, streaming opportunities, and more with Gen.G.

KittyPlays was thrilled to speak on the partnership, seeing it as a great opportunity for female gaming both inside and outside the Gen.G organization.

“I’m honored to partner with Bumble to make a lasting impact in gaming,” said Valnicek. “Bumble is a visionary company in technology, media, women’s empowerment, and facilitating human connection, which perfectly aligns with my own vision of inspiring positivity and empowering my audience. Bumble is in the unique position of providing value to an entire generation of gamers, encouraging them to strive for their goals and facilitating ways to connect them in real life. The future is bright and I can’t wait to see the impact we make together!”

With the Gen.G LA esports facility completed and opened, Team Bumble will have a dedicated streaming room in the facility, and with such a push behind them, we expect wonderful things from Team Bumble and Gen.G in Fortnite and beyond for women’s professional gaming.
