Teams from all over the world showed up for the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational, but it was TSM that took home victory and the biggest prize of the weekend.

When it comes to Apex Legends, Team SoloMid has been running hot with a number of strong finishes. The synergy between Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen, Mac Kenzie “Albralelie” Beckwith, and Jordan “Reps” Wolfe is a force that has proven itself potent at the likes of Twitch Rivals: Road to TwitchCon and the X Games EXP Invitiational. They proved it yet again at the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational, taking out the competition to become champions and take home the grandest prize of the event.

The Apex Legends Preseason Invitational took place September 13 - 15, 2019, hosted in Krakow, Poland and viewable on the PlayApex Twitch Channel. Throughout the weekend, many teams put up impressive games, including an absolutely amazing performance from the 789 squad on Day 2. Every team played their hearts out, but only 20 of the 80 teams could take home something to show for it, and it was Team SoloMid who put up the most stable performances of the weekend, coming out in Top 3’s throughout their run through the Winners Bracket. Ultimately, it culminated in a finish that saw them beat out the MVP squad to take first in the Grand Finals for $105,000.

Though the team from Natus Vincere came in second, two of their players proved themselves the deadliest single players of the competition. Both Nikita “clawz” Marchinsky and Kirill “9impulse” Kostiv scored “Apex Predator” bonuses alongside An "Selly" Jeong-hwan from the South Korean squad Wyvern for most player eliminations throughout the tournament. They each took home $2,666.67 bonuses in addition to Natus Vincere’s $75,000 overall prize for 2nd place.
