Borderlands 3 Loot Cave Discovered: Where to Find It

Looks like Borderlands 3 has itself a good old fashioned "loot cave" of sorts. Here's where to find it and get your hands on some good gear.

Borderlands 3 is the latest in a long line of loot-heavy games in which players are looking for anyway they can to game the system for its best gear. It has to be a difficult matter to patch up all the cracks in the system, but recently players found a pretty useful one. There’s a “loot cave” of sorts in Borderlands 3, and here’s what we know about it (before it gets patched of course).

The Borderlands 3 loot cave was first discovered by Reddit user Whimsical Jest on September 14, 2019, and then confirmed by others in the Borderlands 3 community. It’s not really a “cave” (the term “loot cave” was popularized by such a cave of easily spawning and defeated monsters in Destiny 1). Rather, it’s a spot near the Servant’s Area of Jakob’s Estate on Eden-6. In order to access this, you must’ve cleared the game once. Then you have to toggle Mayhem Mode, and set the game on the third Mayhem Level. Then head to the Jakob’s Estate Servant’s Area as shown in the map and specific location pictures below.

When you go there, you’ll find a guaranteed Loot Tink you can blast for some goodies. At that Mayhem Level, it’s almost guaranteed to drop some Legendary Gear. After that, you just quit to the main menu of Borderlands 3, reload the game, head back to the same location at Jakob’s Estate, and the Loot Tink will be there fresh and ripe for the picking seemingly as many times as you want.

As with any “loot cave,” we don’t expect the Borderlands 3 one to last long, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage while it is available. So finish the game, up the Mayhem, head over to Jakob’s, and get your loot game on while supplies last.
