The 8th season of the Rocket League Championship Series is upon us. It’s about time to see the best teams in the world take on the latest season of rocket car footie. It’s hard to say who’s going to come out on top this time, but when it comes time for that grand match, we know where it’s going. The RLCS has announced that the Season 8 World Championship is going to Madrid, Spain.
The RLCS Season 8 World Championship announcement was made on September 20, 2019 via the Rocket League Esports website. In a blog post via Rocket League Esports Community Manager Ian Nowakowski, it was revealed that the Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid Spain would play host to the final rounds of Season 8’s competition. The World Championships are slated to take place on the weekend of December 13 - 15, 2019.

The road to Madrid and the Season 8 World Championship begins on Saturday, October 5, 2019 with North American teams The Peeps and Ghost Gaming putting on the opening match of Week 1 at 12PM PST. If you’re looking to see Season 7’s Champions - Renault Sport Team Vitality – take the stage, they will be doing so on Sunday, October 6 at 12PM PST against Complexity Gaming. With more than $1 million on the line throughout the season, it should be another excellent season of competition in the Rocket League esports scene.
Tickets are not yet on sale to attend the World Championship in Madrid at the Palacio Vistalegre, but they should be available soon according to Nowakowski. If you’re interested in attending, be sure to keep an eye on the Rocket League Esports Twitter for when the tickets go live.
