If you've been looking for a way to play Call of Duty Mobile with a controller or keyboard and mouse, you might be out of luck for now.

Call of Duty Mobile has launched, bringing the world-famous first-person shooter franchise to mobile devices. It’s an incredible thing to see one of the kings of the FPS realm make its way to iOS and Android devices after so long, though it doesn’t seem to be a seamless transition. Playing Call of Duty Mobile with a controller seems like a no-brainer, and Activision hinted at it with a menu screen that showed controller set-ups. Unfortunately, it seems Call of Duty Mobile controller support is off the table for now following the latest update.

Call of Duty Mobile launched on October 1, 2019 via Android and iOS app stores. In it’s initial launch form, Call of Duty Mobile’s option menu featured a page with button layouts that seemed tied into Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controller support. Despite the apparent page for it, the game didn’t support controllers functionally at launch. What’s more, in an update that came soon after launch, Call of Duty Mobile removed the original “Controller” page and replaced it with a blank page titled “Other.” You can see the updated menu screen in the graphic below.

Where this
Where this "Other" page once showed controller diagrams and button layouts, it's now currently blank as of the latest Call of Duty Mobile patch.

What’s more interesting is that Activision Support essentially confirmed that this was a direct result of the latest patch in an answer to a question on Twitter. Activision support doesn’t go into detail on why the Controller Support options were removed from the game, but it’s likely that support for Call of Duty Mobile simply isn’t ready. It’s unknown at this time whether or not Activision will go back to controller support, but it seems likely as gamepad support is available on other games and clearly desired for Call of Duty Mobile.
