Has your favorite champion make it into Riot Games' League of Legends fighting game as a playable character? Check out our handy ongoing list!

We finally got our first glimpse of the long-awaited League of Legends fighting game, dubbed by Riot as Project L at the time of reveal. It’s still seemingly quite a distance off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about the characters we want in there! Has your favorite champion been confirmed in the game? Our ongoing list of Project L confirmed characters will help!

On October 15, 2019, during League of Legends’ 10th Anniversary stream, we got a look at a whole bunch of new projects coming from Riot Games. Project L was the codename of the fighting game Riot had been rumored to be developing, as confirmed by Tom Cannon at Evo 2019, and we even got our first glimpse of gameplay from the 2.5D fighter in development over at Riot. You can check out the game in early action, as well as Riot’s plans for it, around the 3:20 mark in the video below.

Project L Confirmed Characters

Of course, the reason we’re here is to check out all of the champions that have been confirmed playable in Riot Games’ Project L. After all, League of Legends has a pool of around 150 champions to pull from. Not all of them will be good fits for a fighting game, but we can’t help but wonder if the devouring mechanics of Tahm Kench, the laser and gravity zoning of Viktor, and rushdown aggression of Riven or Irelia will make the cut. That said, for now here are the characters that have been shown or announced as playable so far.

  • Ahri
  • Darius
  • Jinx
  • Katarina

Project L is currently on a long development window without a confirmed release date, so we have plenty of time before the list is finalized. That said, be sure to check back as we continue to update this list throughout the coming year as we patiently await more news and information on the now fully confirmed League of Legends fighter!
