Fortnite Battle Royale has given rise to some of the most popular gaming personalities in the world. FaZe Clan player Jarvis Kaye is one of these high-profile individuals who has risen to fame thanks to his talents when it comes to Fortnite. Unfortunately for the famous FaZe Clan player, Epic Games has banned Jarvis Kaye for life from being able to play the battle royale title. 

Jarvis explained the situation in a YouTube video where he states that Epic Games handed down the lifetime Fortnite ban to the FaZe Clan member because of the content he created on his YouTube channel. The content at the center of the controversy deals with Jarvis using aimbots when Fortnite. Aimbots are cheating software that allows players to lock onto opposing players and hit them with pinpoint accuracy every time they fire a shot. 

"We have a zero-tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software," Epic Games told TMZ. "When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly."

A large amount of the community has spoken up about the lifetime ban of FaZe Jarvis and how it is unjustified. Many have pointed to the situation during the Fortnite World Cup, where Damion “XXiF” Cook and others were caught cheating in the event's qualifiers but were only banned for two weeks. The offenders were then allowed to continue competing in the World Cup when there were millions of dollars on the line. Many suggest that Jarvis' lifetime ban is unfair considering the much less severe consequence the Fortnite World Cup cheating players faced in a much more serious environment. 

However, there are other members of the community who believe the player got what he deserved for using the cheat software in the first place.
