The world of esports has become one of the most popular entertainment mediums in the past few years. This increase in popularity has led to professional gamers earning contracts that are worth millions of dollars. One of the latest examples of the lucrative deals that esports players are now able to command is the most recent contract extension between League of Legends top laner Huni and League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) team Dignitas.
According to a report by ESPN, Dignitas and Huni have agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $2.3 million. This reported contract extension would put the veteran player among the top of the highest-paid players in the world of professional League of Legends.
The 21-year-old player has competed for a variety of teams during his career that includes Fnatic, Immortals, SK Telecom T1, Echo Fox, and Clutch Gaming, which was recently acquired by Dignitas. Now, Dignitas fans can be excited at the fact that Huni will be providing his talents to the team for at least another two years.
