Here's How Apex Legends Can Be Made Even Better

Apex Legends is a phenomenal battle royale experience from Respawn, but it could be made even better - especially with the recent launch of Fortnite Chapter 2.

Apex Legends took the battle royale world by storm when Respawn sprung the free-to-play shooter on us earlier this year. That being said, Fortnite Chapter 2 got a much-needed revival with their major update, which got us thinking about all of the ways Apex could be made even better. With so much fan hype around duos and new features coming to Fortnite, here's what our brainstorming sesh came up with on how Apex Legends could improve.

How Apex Legends could be made even better

First things first: Singles and Duos

The inclusion of Singles and Duos modes in the past through limited-time updates have proven that this is something players want - and want a lot. Respawn knows this, we know this, it's time to make it happen outside of small spurts of gameplay availability.

Killcam

We know that cheaters happen, though Respawn is working on it, and we know that sometimes we have no idea how the heck we died. Killcams in shooters help eliminate cheaters while also showing us how we can simply play a better game. If a player is taken out, adding in a killcam helps improve their strategy going forward while also catching any suspicious behavior out on the battlefield.

Cross-play

With Cross-play being such a huge topic in the gaming community, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Fortnite both showing devs how it's done, it's time for Apex to join in on the action.

People want to play with their friends, and they shouldn't have to buy all new systems to make that happen. Give PC players a chance to play with their console buds, and Xbox / PlayStation fans a shot at playing with each other as well.

That being said, not everyone wants to play with PC, so do what Modern Warfare does and make it optional. Don't want to play outside of the pool? Toggle cross-play off, it's that easy.

Nintendo Switch

OK, so I know this one won't be a hit with everyone, but Fortnite players love it on the Switch and you can't knock the benefit of being able to take your favorite games with you on the go. Pair Switch availability with cross-platform play, and you've got two pieces to a much bigger picture that fit in the name of longevity for Apex's shelf life.

Replays

This is the age of streamers and social media show and tell. Adding a Replay feature - Overwatch really nailed that one on the head, alongside Fortnite - gives players a chance to look at where they can be a better player while also sharing those epic moments that are too good to stay private. This would also help strengthen the Apex Legends community as well, which is never a bad thing.

Apex Legends is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Can you think of anything that Respawn could add to make this game better? Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below!
