Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Video Shows Off Outrageous Hitbox Issues

Hitbox issues in Call of Duty are nothing new, but they seem to be particularly worrisome in Modern Warfare and this video proves how.

Call of Duty and hitbox issues, they seem to go hand-in-hand no matter what generation the game launches in. That being said, a new video making its rounds throughout Reddit shows off just how bad this issue is in Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

As I mentioned over in a breakdown I wrote for PrimaGames on the same issue, my go-to weapons for Modern Warfare are the AX-50 sniper and the M4A1. Both weapons are nothing to scoff at when it comes to both precision and damage, so when I noticed in the killcam that I was hitting enemy players right in the head (or mid-chest with the M4A1) with no damage being applied, I knew something was wrong. That led me to investigate a little more throughout the game's forums, and it was Reddit that I found a video that gave me the vindication I needed:

The player hitbox is broken. from r/modernwarfare

That's ... just bad. That's not even a small altercation, that's straight-up broken. A patch recently went live that fixed a few issues with many of the game's guns - including a much needed nerf to that damn shotgun - but a hitbox update wasn't among the changes.

So far, Infinity Ward hasn't made any mention as to whether or not they are aware of the issue, though given how active they are with their community, it's likely that we will see some form of public acknowledgment soon.

Hitbox issues aside, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launched to phenomenal reviews and player feedback. You can see for yourself what the latest Call of Duty entry has to offer on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC through
