The high-profile streamer recently stated why he is happy he stuck with Fortnite Battle Royale instead of trying to compete in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends has grown into one of the most popular competitive titles in the world and has seen an active esports community develope at the same time. However, the esports scene for Apex Legends is not close to the competitive communities of other titles. The relatively small size of the current Apex Legends esports landscape is why popular streamer Tyler "Ninja" Belvins is glad he did not try to pursue being a professional player in the battle royale game.

The former professional Halo and Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) player recently explained during one of his streams why he decided to not go forward with competing professionally in Apex Legends.

"I was good at Apex, man. If I had stayed on par with it, I probably would have been one of the best players. I'm happy I stuck with Fortnite, though. The competitive scene is so small. It's so tiny. I think there might be like a decent amount of players who are in it, and like I really enjoy watching the games competitively, but it's just very small," said Ninja.

Ninja has been an avid competitor in the Fortnite esports scene but was unable to qualify for the 2019 Fortnite World Cup.

However, Ninja may change his mind heading into the future regarding the Apex Legends esports scene. The reason for this future change of heart may come from the recent announcement of the Apex Legends Global Series. This Apex Legends Global Series will see a $3,000,000 prize pool be up for grabs throughout various events in 2020. This injection of a lucrative prize pool and stability of events will no doubt motivate plenty of players to become the best Apex Legends players they can be next year.
