Original Fortnite Default Jonesy Skin Design Revealed

Default Jonesy is pretty 'meh' and it turns out, he was just as generic in concept phase as well.

Default skins are usually pretty generic and boring, even more so in games that encourage the sale of cosmetic skins. They're meant to make the player want more in an effort to be more POW and less meh. The default Fortnite Jonesy skin is no different but for those interested in seeing how the design evolution goes, we've got our first look at his original concept art before he became what we see today.

In the designs below seen on Reddit, we see a few different changes, including one design where he looked significantly rougher and more military. There were expression variations, hairline swaps, and more, all seen below:

Personally, I dig the top middle one the most. It makes Jonesy look like Duke Nukem's infinitely less fun brother, which ... I mean, I wouldn't say no. Bigger eyes, anime eyes, SIMS-like jawlines - you name it, they tried it before eventually settling on the design we're graced with today.

Who knows? Fortnite is the king of crossovers, maybe they'll do a SIMS crossover and we'll see the design on the bottom left, second over. We can dream.

Which design do you like most for the original Fortnite Jonesy skin? Like any of those better than what we ended up with in today's state of game? Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below and while you're at it, tell us what other characters you'd be interested in seeing concept art for!
