Peach as the MVP - or at least much more valuable than many realize - in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a thing and Samsora explains why.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has a very competitive gaming scene with its meta and constantly growing roster. Everyone has their favorite fighter, whether by character design or skill sets, but esports star Ezra 'Samsora' Morris explains why Peach deserves more love in a professional sense.

For those asking "who" regarding Samsora, he is a Super Smash Bros. pro player that has the title of 22nd ranked WiiU pro of all time thanks to the Panda Global Rankings system. While not number one, he has a lot of experience in the competitive scene and with good reason, so it's interesting to hear his thoughts on one of the characters that often gets treated as eye candy for her notoriety rather than her moveset.

In a recent interview with the folks over at Dexerto, Samsora said: "I really like Princess Peach as a character because she has a float ability, which no other character has. I was like 'wow, I want to be a little bit different and have a mechanic that nobody else has."

He's been using that character, among others, since 2008 with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and she's been his number one go-to since then. But what about her, specifically, appeals to him?

"Peach's strength right now is that she does the most damage out of any character, because you don't get short hop multiplier, and she has a really good recovery," he told the site. "I feel like her weaknesses, as of right now, is landing sometimes and then getting outranged."

Though Peach has seen some nerfs since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched, she's still an incredibly powerful character - even more so for those players willing to invest in learning her set inside and out. It's because of that stylization that he mentioned he doesn't see himself switching up his main anytime soon despite all of the recent changes.

Peach is great, but who is your go-to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character? Agree with his assessment, or is he way off base? Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below and tell us what you think!
