Byleth of Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be the next fighter to join the vast roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Thursday, January 16th, was an exciting day for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate community with the Fire Emblem: Three Houses character of Byleth being revealed as the next DLC character that will be added to the title's roster.

The announcement of Byleth being the fifth DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was made during a Nintendo Direct show that took place on January 16th. You can watch the Nintendo Direct in its entirety in the video below:

Players can play as either a Male or a Female version of Byleth, who uses four different weapons when it comes to fighting. These four weapons are used depending on which direction Byleth is attacking, and they all possess great power.

However, there was some disappointment in the community regarding the reveal of Byleth being the next DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Many members of the community believe that there are too many Fire Emblem and sword-based characters in the fighting game and were hoping to see a different kind of fighter be added.

Nintendo also announced during the Nintendo Direct that there would be six more DLC characters added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the future, so there will be plenty of other fighters reveals to be excited for going forward.
