The Apex Legends community has been anxiously awaiting for Respawn Entertainment to release the official Season 4: Assimilation launch trailer. Their wish was granted on Thursday, January 30th, when the Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation trailer was revealed to the world.

This trailer answered an important question regarding which character would be added to the battle royale title for the new period of content, as Respawn Entertainment has previously stated it would be the legend known as Forge. However, Forge was stabbed in the back and confirmed to have been killed by an assassin known as Revenant in an animated teaser video released earlier this week. 

Additional teasers began to then point towards Revenant being the new character for Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation. This addition of the character was subsequently confirmed in the launch trailer, where the motivations of the assassin were revealed. 

Revenant was the best hitman the Syndicate had ever had in its arsenal thanks to Hammond Robotics transforming him into the ultimate killing machine. Unfortunately for the Syndicate and Hammond Robotics, a programming fail during an assassination helped Revenant see what he had become. News of Hammond Robotics officially entering the Apex Games via the sponsorship of Jimmy "Forge: McCormick ignited an urge for vengeance in the robotic assassin. 

Now, Revenant will not stop until all of those responsible for his current form are dead. Fortunately for us Apex Legends players, we will be able to use the terrifying character in our quests for wins in the high-profile battle royale game.
