The new Search and Destroy Limited Time Mode puts a unique spin on Fortnite Battle Royale.

The highly anticipated 11.50 update for Fortnite Battle Royale was implemented on Wednesday, February 5th, and it brought plenty of changes to the high-profile game. One of the most significant additions via the 11.50 update was the Search and Destroy Limited Time Mode or LTM, which puts an exciting spin on the game that millions of players know and love across the world.

The Fortnite Search and Destroy LTM is an attack and defend game mode that sees teams of six players compete against each other. Teams compete up to 11 rounds with the first team to win six rounds declared the victor.

The attacking team's goal is to plant the bomb and destroy the bomb side with the defending team's goal is to defend the bombsite by defusing the bomb or eliminating all of the attackers. However, the attackers can also win a round by eliminating all of the defenders.

Players can purchase weapons, shields, and building materials with gold. This gold can be earned by eliminating players, planting or defusing the bombs, and completing rounds in a match. Gold carries over round to round but will ultimately reset when you switch from attackers to defenders and vice versa.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players are sure to be fans of these game modes if they also play Fortnite, as it works incredibly similar to how the core game mode for CS:GO operates.
