Season 2 of the Overwatch League was dominated by the GOATS meta popularized by a team of the same name in the Overwatch esports scene that soon proved to the most effective team composition for high-level competition. However, the nature of the GOATS did not always provide the most exciting action for viewers and did not allow for players to use variety when it came to which characters they would use in matches.
However, the GOATS meta is no doubt one of the most significant periods of the global esports league. The significance of the GOATS meta is why the Overwatch League recently revealed that a new GOAT skin for Brigitte would be available for fans to purchase from the league's in-game shop.
It is not surprising to see that the skin to pay homage to the GOATS meta is for Brigitte, as the tank/support character was a vital part of the team composition that dominated the Overwatch League in a way that the title's esports scene had never seen before.
Players have until February 19th to obtain the GOAT Brigitte skin from the Overwatch League store in the first-person shooter. This particular cosmetic item will then be removed from the game for what is likely the foreseeable future.
