Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will see the addition of a Call of Duty League playlist to the first-person shooter.

Tuesday, February 11th will see Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare officially kick-off. Season 2 will be bringing a plethora of new content to the popular first-person shooter that includes the addition of a new Call of Duty (CDL) League playlist. This CDL playlist will allow players to play with the same ruleset that professional teams use in the new professional esports league.

According to the official description of the CDL playlist on the Activision Blog, the new CDL playlist will allow players to "Fight like the pros in this Call of Duty League ruleset playlist. In this playlist, the settings and available weapons, maps, and modes have been altered so that you can battle like the best of 'em. Get a look at the complete Call of Duty League ruleset here, then jump into the playlist."

You can find the current competitive settings for the Call of Duty League on the league's official website

Those who dive into the new CDL playlist during Season 2 of Modern Warfare will see that many weapons, killstreaks, equipment pieces, and other pieces of content found in the public playlists are not allowed. These items have been deemed by the Call of Duty League not to help foster the best competitive nature for this year's title and are not permitted in official competition. This means you will not be able to use the restricted item either when playing the CDL playlist.

This CDL playlist may not be the Ranked Play that many members of the community were hoping to see come in Season 2, but it is the closest thing we will be getting for the time being when it comes to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in its most competitive state.
