The in-game cinematic video for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare looks to have possibly thrown some teasers for a Battle Royale game mode to the community.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare officially began on Tuesday, February 11th, much to the excitement of the title's community. A new in-game cinematic treated players who booted up their game following the completion of the Season 2 update and has provided what the majority of the community believes to be teasers for an upcoming Battle Royale game mode.

This Season 2 cinematic introduces players to Ghost, who is investigating some odd activity in Verdansk where military forces are turning on each other, and gas is closing in on all sides. Ghost then proceeds to ask Captain price to send in some soldiers that he can trust. The Season 2 cinematic then concludes with a short clip of multiple characters jumping out of a plane and parachuting to the ground.

It did not take long for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community to come together and begin to theorize that this Season 2 cinematic was providing a plethora of teasers for a Battle Royale game mode. Soldiers are turning on each other in every person for themselves manner, gas closing in from all sides, and the need for squadmates all sound strongly like the makings of what is needed for a Battle Royale game mode.

Now, no official word regarding a Battle Royale game mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has come from Infinity Ward or Activision, so take these teasers for a potential Battle Royale game mode with a grain of salt for the time being.
