Greg Sakundiak achieves a Perfect Pac-Man, Pac-Man celebrates its 40th year, and World Champion David Race Honors his fellow competitors.

Greg Sakundiak Achieves Perfection:

On May 19, 2020, Video Game Champion Greg Sakundiak successfully completed his lifetime quest for a Perfect Pac-Man game, and on May 21, 2020 he submitted his score performance to Twin Galaxies and recieved official verification and recognition of his great achievement!

A perfect Pac-Man game is when the player achieves the maximum possible score on the first 255 levels by eating every possible dot, energizer, fruit, and enemy, without losing a single life, and using all extra lives to score as many points as possible on level 256.

Greg now joins the very exclusive club of being a Perfect Pac-Man player, where there are only 10 (or less) people on Earth that enjoy official recognition by Twin Galaxies to ever achieve such a tremendous feat.

The accomplishment seems to have also come with perfect timing, as the 40th Anniversary of Pac-Man took place just a day after Greg's Twin Galaxies submission!

Pac-Man Celebrates its 40th Year:

The Pac-Man video game was first released by Bandai Namco (formerly called just Namco) on May 22, 1980, on arcade.

In celebration, numerous websites have written articles discussing the popularity and success of Pac-Man, so we will list a few of them here:

Finally, David Race, the World Record Champion for the Fastest Completion of Perfect Pac-Man took some time to write a compelling Facebook post recognizing fellow competitors such as Rick Fothergill and the history of great Pac-Man players who have inspired and contributed to the entire landscape and culture of Pac-Man competition.
