In a recent post on his Twin Galaxies Wall, Steve Wiebe (who was the first person to achieve over a million points in a public DK game), declared his return to the competitive Donkey Kong Arcade scene after a 10 year hiatus.

Donkey Kong Competition:
Wiebe himself spent his teen and college years perfecting his Donkey Kong game. With the dawn of the internet, Wiebe realized he was a contender for world records.
He was the star of the 2007 critically acclaimed documentary called "The King of Kong" where it chronicled the trials and tribulations of his efforts to set the world record on an original unmodified Donkey Kong Arcade machine.
Since that time, there have been numerous leaps forward in the highest score achieved in Donkey Kong, with World Champion John McCurdy holding the current Donkey Kong world record at an astounding 1,259,000 points - so it looks like Steve has some work to do!
