20,000 leagues under the retro sea is just the place where amazing high score feats are forged as we surface with another edition of the Scoreboard Spotlight!

Whether it's on the race track or at the ocean, the Scoreboard Spotlight will be there to share some of the latest and greatest achievements from the Twin Galaxies community. And true to our word, we have an awesome selection of highlights from the past week to share with you, from the lair of an evil mastermind and the front seat of a crazy cab to high speed action on the F1 circuit, a deadly night in a maze, and life as captain of a modern submarine, so read on!

Marco1019 – Kung-Fu Master (2600 5 Minute Challenge 2023 Championship) – Points

Marco1019 didn't use any crane kicks during his raid of the Evil Wizard's temple but he ended up on top with a new personal best on Kung Fu Master for the Atari 2600. The welcome committee ended up not being very welcoming, but Marco let his fists and kicks do the talking as he finished in 5 minute run with 104,740 points, taking fourth place on the 2600 5 Minute Challenge leaderboard for the game.

WigWoo1 –  Crazy Taxi (Sega Dreamcast) – Dollars

WigWoo1 took a drive on the wild side and clocked out with an amazing personal best on Crazy Taxi for the Sega Dreamcast. Playing in Arcade mode for over 90 minutes, WigWool lived up to the crazy in Crazy Taxi with high speed collisions, jaw-dropping shortcuts, and 169 safely-delivered passengers that netted $74,664.93 in fares for a fourth-place finish on the TG leaderboard.

OniDensetsu – LeMans (Commodore 64) - Points

OniDensetsu showed us how you can teach a Commodore 64 computer new tricks with his racing debut on LeMans. Hugging the left side of the raceway, OniDensetsu threaded the racing needle for a big finish – 316,720 points, surpassing the previous record by 78k.

IntellivisionMaster – Ms. Night Stalker (Intellivision) – Points

Trapped in a dangerous maze and attacked by robots, spiders, and bats, Intellivision Master made the best of a bad situation with an inaugural record on Ms. Night Stalker for the Mattel Intellivision console. There was no where to hide, so Intellivision Master won the draw against his enemies and blew up the score counter with a final tally of 39,700 points.

Paul Ford – Submarine Commander (Atari 2600) – Points

Paul Ford assumed command of a 40 year-old submarine and targeted the high score on the Atari 2600 release Submarine Commander. With a paddle controller firmly in hand, Paul made great use of the periscope as he torpedoed a fleet of enemy ships to finish his watery mission with a new TG record of 2,530 points.

This covers our Scoreboard Spotlight for this week. As a reminder, these were just a few of exceptional records that were adjudicated and accepted recently. Every record that made it through verification and landed on our leaderboards has a well-deserved place in the Twin Galaxies pantheon.

Keep scoring high, finishing fast, and game on!
