Donkey Kong asked "How High Can You Get?" and a top-notch DK player answered the call in legendary fashion, along with a slew of gamers putting up new gaming feats!

Some people might say “another week, another dollar,” but we're more apt to say, “another week, another five highlights to share on the Scoreboard Spotlight”! In this installment, we have it all – a few bike tricks, some snowboarding feats, a healthy dose of earthly anniliation, a turn at the virtual bar, topped off with some Jumpman wizardry, so read on!

Andrew Mee – Trials Rising (PS4) – Schoolyard Brawl X-Cross – Fastest Time

Andrew Mee showed up to the after-school fight with his dirt bike and earned respect with a TG record on Trials Rising for the PlayStation 4. With a field of bikers ready to brawl on the Schoolyard Brawl X-Cross level, Andrew made out like a boss by destroying the CPU competition with a fastest time of 28.209 seconds.

Theradiocal  –  Cool Boarders 3 (PlayStation) – Fastest Time

Theradiocal hit the slopes in trippin' style and came down Powder Hill with a new TG record playing Cool Boarders 3 for the Sony PlayStation. A few downed trees on the course? No problem! Theradiocal traded bark for snow and flew to the finish line in a fastest completion time of 1:36.4.

Rickster8 – Star Strike (PlayStation 2) – Points

Rickster8 saved Earth from total anniliation by taking aim at a new high score on the Intellivision shooter Star Strike on the PS2. Despite the game's obvious parallels to the trench attack on the Death Star, Rickster8 didn't need the Force as he destroyed the alien super-weapon (and the previous TG record along with it) by striking the missile solo five times to finish with 7,916 points.

Roddy – Ice Cold Beer  (Novelty) – 15 Minute High Score Variation - Points

New TG member Roddy etched his name on the TG leaderboard in style as he served up a new world record on the classic Ice Cold Beer. Competing under a special 15 minute time limit category, Roddy expertly guided the silver ball through 3 loops of the game where he finished at the buzzer with 20,050 points, beating the previous record by 20 points. Congratulations!

Justin Elliott  – Donkey Kong (Arcade) – Points

In February 2024, Justin Elliott solidified his place in the pantheon of DK greatness with his latest submission on Nintendo's enduring classic Donkey Kong. As one of the world's best DK players, Justin combined split-second jumps, giant hammer smashes, and good ol' fashioned running to push his personal best to 1,243,000 points for the third-highest score on the game. Can a new WR be far behind? Congratulations!

This covers our Scoreboard Spotlight for this week. As a reminder, these were just a few of exceptional records that were adjudicated and accepted recently. Every record that made it through verification and landed on our leaderboards has a well-deserved place in the Twin Galaxies gaming pantheon.

Keep scoring high, finishing fast, and game on!
