The beauty of the EU LCS, as any fan will tell you, is that seemingly any team can take down any other team. The relative strength of the region is always shifting, and teams that are dominant one week can find themselves struggling the next. For ROCCAT, every victory is important, as their finals games will cement their chances for Playoffs.

The game started out very straightforward, with ROCCAT making their usual jungle checks to try and gain some insight into Misfits plan. This time, it paid off quite a bit, catching Misfits out and scoring first blood. A return visit kept Misfits tied up as ROCCAT went on to secure the first Dragon of the game, before setting their sights on the Rift Herald as well.

While Misfits would fire back with a Dragon and the first turret of the match, ROCCAT were quick to answer, taking down two turrets for themselves and preparing the map for a possible Baron fight. In the ensuing team fight, ROCCAT managed to take down two of the Misfits squad and secure the Baron, leading to an almost immediate base defence, as ROCCAT took down multiple turrets in rapid succession.

After pulling back to secure another Dragon, both teams prepped for another potential Baron fight, with Misfits making the first move in taking down ROCCAT’s mid laner to get themselves on the scoreboard. The fight at Baron was ultimately underwhelming, with Misfits attempting to steal it away but failing, and ROCCAT using the opportunity to push the base and take down inhibitors. A final team fight saw almost the entire Misfits squad fall, as ROCCAT rampaged through their base to end the game.
