While not the most important match played today, for Fnatic every victory counts when you want to cement your place at the top of the EU LCS

A victory for Fnatic today would be just another stepping stone in their rise to glory over the rest of the EU LCS, while Giants were looking to prove that they can handle the heat put out by the best right now.

The match kicked off with a mid lane gank by Fnatic, securing first blood in a display of dominance. When both teams returned to the mid for another fight, it seemed like it might be a 1-1 trade, but Fnatics mid laner Rasmus "Caps" Winther was able to use the passive of his champion to utmost perfection, taking down another kill before he passed.

While both teams would repeatedly skirmish, both managed to knock down turrets to claim extra gold, though it was Giants who managed to do so repeatedly. After careful positioning, Giants were also able to secure the Rift Herald, and used its power to trade more turrets with Fnatic across the map.

After such a long period of contest, Fnatic began to pull away from Giants, securing a Dragon and more turrets while building a gold lead. Both teams begin looking for opportunities as it approaches time for Baron to spawn, however when a fight breaks out it is Fnatic that take down three members of Giants and secure the buff for themselves.

Using this power, Fnatic push into the base of Giants and start taking down turrets and inhibitors, before withdrawing to secure the Dragon. As the siege recommences, Fnatic again repeatedly take down members of Giants, along with their base defences, before a final team fight sees Giants wiped from the map as Fnatic take the win.
