Team Liquid secured a very early first blood, catching out OpTics mid laner to gain the early lead. OpTic responded with a gank in the mid lane to level out the scores and relieve the mid lane pressure. Liquid focus their attention on the bot side, securing the first Dragon of the game to increase their lead, while OpTic continue to look towards mid pressure. A fight around the bot side allow Liquid to secure the first turret, while also taking down two more kills.
When Liquid swap lanes to push top, they find their team members in the bot lane caught out of position, leading to two free kills for OpTic Gaming. OpTic are then able to rotate top and secure another kill before returning to apply pressure around the Dragon pit. Despite their vision of the area, OpTic are unable to contest the Dragon as Liquid move bot and secure the objective. A skirmish in the mid lane turns into a one for two trade in OpTics favour as Liquid continue to pressure the turret.
After pulling back from their last fight, the team re-engage in the mid with a drawn out team fight that costs both teams several members, before Liquid withdraw to secure their third Dragon of the game. With the Baron on the map, OpTic look for vision control of the area, catching out Liquids support as both teams look to establish control.
Liquid find a good engage in the mid lane, catching out three members of OpTic before attacking the Baron. While OpTic attempted to contest the objective, Liquid were able to secure the buff along with another kill. Using the power of Baron to push the mid lane, Liquid claim more kills while taking down the turrets and the mid inhibitor. With few defences remaining, Team Liquid are able to destroy the nexus and set up a massive tie-breaker scenario.
