Ninja Explains On CNBC Why His Parents Let Him Compete Professionally

Making an appearance on national television, Tyler "Ninja" Belvins explained how he was able to convince his parents to let him pursue a career in professional gaming.

Tyler "Ninja" Belvins has competed in and streamed the likes of Halo, H1Z1, Player Unknowns Battlegrounds and Fortnite as a member of the Luminosity Gaming organization. While seeing success in multiple titles, Ninja's popularity has skyrocketed in recent weeks with his incredible skill at Fortnite drawing in hundreds of thousands of viewers who love to watch the talented player dominate in Epic Games' insanely popular Battle Royale title. 

Seeing historic growth during his rise to becoming one of the most popular personalities on Twitch, Ninja has claimed the title of most followed channel on the platform, secured the record for most concurrent viewers for an individual streamer with the help of Drake and is currently earning in the upwards of over half a million dollars a month from his close to 200,000 subscribers. However, this figure does not factor in ad revenue, profits from his YouTube channel, donations or his agreement with Luminosity Gaming. 

Due to the astronomical numbers that have been associated with Ninja during his rise to the top, the Fortnite extraordinaire has recieved a great deal of media coverage, which now includes an appearance on the news network CNBC today. Ninja explained on the show how he was able to convince his parents to let him pursue a career in esports and streaming, along with the plans he has for utilizing his massive income. 

Ninja revealed that his parents allowed him to spend as much time as he wanted competing in Halo and streaming because he was dedicated to doing well in school and his job at the time in order to focus and plan for his future. The popular streamer also made sure to explain to kids who are aspiring compeitiors and streamers that they should not drop everything else, as playing video games full time has become a very compeitive field, and a focus on making sure they are working to have a secured future while pursuing their dream is needed. When asked about what his plans are for his impressive income, Ninja explained that he and his wife are engaging in multiple philanthropy opportunities and were investing and saving as much of it as possible.  

With no signs of slowing down, do not be suprised to see Ninja making even more appearances on major media outlets telling his story of how he became one of the most popular gamers in the entire world.
