The last weeks of the regular season in the League of Legends Championship series has been an intense bout of tiebreakers and final chances coming down to pivotal moves that have allowed teams to rise to the occasion for their playoffs spot or fall among the fodder. Among the teams fighting for survival were Cloud9 and Clutch Gaming, and though Clutch fought valiantly, the Cloud9 team showed they have every bit of fight they need to keep a firm hold in the NA LCS standings. The match was relatively even, but it was a combined effort of baron buff and team mechanics that found Cloud9 on the winning end of the game in an incredibly decisive fight.

Having secured the baron buff, Jungle Zac player Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen kicked things off with a dive into the center of an unprepared Clutch team who was hiding under their own turret.  Cloud9 mid Nicolaj Jensen followed immediately on Zac with Galio's diving ult, which knocked most of the team into the air while Svenskeren carried Clutch Gaming Jungle Nam "LirA" Tae-yoo on Sejuani into the middle of the Cloud9 swarm where he was quickly dispatched. Meanwhile, top-laner Eric "Licorice" Ritchie took advantage of his Camille's mobility to move into the back line of Clutch and pick off their mid and adc, destroying all Clutch Gaming carries in one fell swoop. From there, it was a fairly easy march through the final turrets and nexus of Clutch as Cloud9 finished out the match to overcome a losing streak and keep their playoff odds looking interesting.

Cloud9 showed life and amazing teamwork with this dominant play, but will it be enough? The playoffs are fast approaching and ultimate victory is still up in the air for a lot of teams.
