Score Wars: Galaga World Championship - Where to Watch

This weekend Meow Wolf will be bringing the best Galaga players in the world together to see who is the very best, and we have all of the details just for you.

The Score Wars: Galaga World Championship presented by Meow Wolf will be taking place through March 31st to April 1st. Both a Pro-Level and Amateur-Level tournament will be held. $10,000 will be the top prize for the pro tournament and a $1,500 prize will be up for grabs in the amateur event. With veterans and young players gathering together to break personal and world records in order to take hope the top prizes, the Score Wars: Galaga World Championship is shaping up to be an action packed event.

March 31st will see the Amateur-Level tournament taking place, as the top-ten players from the from the Amateur-Level qualifying runs will be competing in a head to head single elimination tournament to determine who will be taking home the $1,500 prize. The tournament will be held in Arcade (Five-Man) mode that consists of factory settings, five lines, one credit, no restarts, playing to the kill screen or two hours of max gameplay. Amateur-Level play will begin at 10 AM PST. 

Sunday, April 1st will be the date of the professional events, as Pro-Level players and Legacy Champs will be competing against each other in a ten person tournament to see who will be collecting the $10,000 grand prize. Second place will recieve $5,000 with third place taking home $2,500. The Pro-Level tournament will be held in in the same Arcade Mode as the Amateur-Level competition. With names like Philip Day, Andrew Barrow, Keith "Arcade Doctor" and Armando Gonzales in attendance for the professional level event, viewers can expect to see many top level Galaga performances. Pro-Level play will begin at 12:00 PM PST.
