Philadelphia Fusion's Josue "Eqo" Corono has been suspended and fined by his team for making a slant-eye gesture on his personal stream.

The Philadelphia Fusion announced today that it has suspended Josue "Eqo" Corona for three games, fined the DPS player $2,000 and has revoked Eqo's streaming privileges until June 17th. The punishment for the talented player comes after Eqo was found making a slant-eye gesture while calling himself a Korean player during one of his recent streams. The clip of the gesture quickly spread across social media and the team's CEO, Tucker Roberts, stated that the team was planning on punishing the player for the gesture.

In addition to his punishment from the team, Eqo will also be donating $3,000 to the Anti-Defamation League's No Place for Hate Campaign. Philadelphia will be donating the fine and matching Eqo's donation total for a complete donation of $10,000 going to the campaign. The team also issued an apology to the Overwatch community.

As of this writing, there has been word from the Overwatch League regarding any action it will take towards the incident. With the severity of the Fusion's punishment, it remains to be seen if the league will be involved in the matter at all.
