When I run from the command line OBS doesn't have the issue of recognizing the window since there's only one called MAME but I also run MAME in window mode. Running full screen I imagine the display capture is as valid and convenient of a setup as any other.

I always use "Display Capture" as my Source because OBS has a hard time finding the MAME window/game you want to record. I think this is because of the way MAME loads up the frontend/gui first and then loads the game you want to play after that. OBS sees these as two different windows/games and...

I checked to see if the same thing applied to Street Fighter and TMNT's cabinets. Holding P1 for 5 seconds simply returned me to the menu, so I'm presuming these settings don't pop up for those cabinets.

is this an error on the obs itself or the emu ur running? if it's obs I think u need to run it as admin. If it's the emu, it might be conflicting with obs for that you need to submit a report on the devs so they could see whats happening.

Personally, I think sony set the standards for what a good controller is. DS for me :)

mame rules are pretty strict. you'd probably have to create it as a special track under arcade that specifies emu or something like that. it definitely wouldnt fly under current track rules
