Is there for some reason why I can't use another version of WolfMAME like build 209? The reason I ask is due to the fact that it is a pain to get PolePosition to work with any version of wolfmame prior to 170 within Debian Linux.
Remember, there are some of us who use neither Microsoft Windows or MacOS.
Once upon a time, only the 0.106-specific ROMset was named, and this caused much confusion to those who did not understand or notice that ROMsets get renamed from time to time.
Many of these rule sets were updated in an attempt at clarity, but unfortunately there are quite a few rule sets that look like there's an upper limit to the version you can use.
Sorry, we can't edit these directly, they'll need to be flagged with the admin team.
In general, all versions of WolfMAME can be used, with versions earlier than 0.106 strongly discouraged unless there's a compelling reason.
As for this track...
for WolfMAME versions 0.150 or later, use "poleposj".
for WolfMAME versions 0.149 or earlier, use "polepos"
Thank you for the clarification. I am going to try going for wr on this track. I have been getting 58k on polepos in wolfmame 209, I'll use poleposj from now on.
I want the world record before I submit. And of course I will have a video of myself playing the game with the controls in view.
