ShareHi folks! If you don't mind, what counts as a gameboy? If I record video playing on the Nintendo Switch gameboy emulator, does that count? Or does the presence of rewind or the fact it's a different console mean it's a different category?

This particular track is for original hardware by Nintendo capable of playing the physical GameBoy cartridge during its commercial lifespan. So physical GB, GBC, GBA (but obviously not GB Micro), the GB adapters for the SNES and GameCube and whatever DS capability there was.
The scoreboard can be extended to include emulation - you'll see a bunch of tracks on other games with an "EMU - " prefix for that sort of support. They get created by the community where there is an interest so the lack of EMU tracks here just means there hasn't been interest in them as yet by community members willing to go down the track creation process.

Solid question, I would also like to know
Don't trim to omit failed attempts. Since it's the GB Player you still get to see the "boot-up" in a way. If you capture the video feed directly from the point you power up to the point of the submitted run you should really be fine. Whip out the cell phone and take a quick video showing the console in real life when you get your run you want, then show the screen as it appears on the direct feed, then show yourself using the controller to navigate away from that screen before a power-off. That would be a most satisfactory set of evidence videos - the full run from direct feed beginning with power-up and the auxiliary live video showing the hardware. Oh and pop the GB Player disc out and show us that too. Seems like a lot but it would virtually guarantee an acceptable evidence package.
